Note: Remember this is only a 4 shot story..
Dedicated to all those who believe in love at first
sight... love like in fairy tales, who believes in it?
Khushi ran out of the room hurriedly and headed to
the illuminated lawn... Ignoring any salutations, Khushi searched nervously for
the picture.. Worry lines on her forehead.. Her tears threatened to fall..
Pairs of eyes staring at her beauty.. But she herself had no idea how beautiful
she was.. till suddenly.. She felt a tap on her shoulders.. Slowly she turned..
Their eyes met.. His intense gaze drowned into the pure beauty of her
innocence.. And she felt strangely different..
His eyes stayed fix into the stars of her doe
shaped eyes.. A light smirk playing onto his lips.. Never ever before he felt
what he was feeling at the moment.. At one sight of this young girl, his heart
found all happiness of life.. Was it love at first sight? Did real love truly exist at the age of 16?
Khushi clenched her fists into her dress... Her
heartbeats felt like exploding under the gaze of this guy... Her thoughts drove
to her mother’s words.. about the one who’ll come for her... Her prince
charming... “Khushi my child, when the one made for you will be standing in
front of you, you won’t need words to recognize him.. His one look towards you
will assure you love, care, respect and dignity.. And you’ll get to know that
this man is your man”. Her thoughts suddenly broke when she heard his voice.. A
husky voice.. At such a young age, he had such a manly voice.. and his first
words proved his care towards her.. towards her mother.. her eyes almost welled
up when he handed her the photo of her mother as he said “A mother never leaves
her child, no matter what”. A teary smile curved on her lips, Khushi lifted her
hand and grabbed the photo from his hands... As their touch met, both lifted
their eyes towards each other and stayed lock for a single moment.. It was a
magical touch which they both felt.. A connection flowing through their
veins... But this moment cut short as their fathers joined them.. Khushi felt a
sudden overwhelming feeling when her father made the introductions and said his
name.. Arnav Singh Raizada!.. Arnav bowed his head in front of her as a sign of
courtesy and Khushi responded through a shy smile.. but both the fathers noticed their eye lock..
this unusual behavior of their son and daughter.. Being shrewd businessmen,
they definitely knew how to keep their kin in control.. If Arnav’s father was
here, it was out of obligation.. while for Mr. Gupta he had always made sure to
keep his teenage daughter out of his business as well as from issues which
could cost her a bright future.. No
matter what, a blooming friendship between their kids will never be
acceptable...
“Can I have this dance with you?”
Under the gaze of their parents, Khushi nodded in
acknowledge.. Gently, she placed her delicate hands into his hands.. For the
first time in her life, she was no less worried about the reactions of her
father.. or the talks of the people observing them.. She felt an invisible
string pulling her to that one man as she swung into his arms on the dance
floor.. Letting herself getting drown in the intensity of his gaze, she had no
more control of herself.. She let him lead her.. she let him be the master key
of her feelings, her emotions, and her body... A kind of trust which once she
only showed to her mother.. but at that moment she wanted to open her heart
again to someone.. someone other than her mother..
The feeling of missing a close one.. the anger of not
having the chance to bid goodbye to the one she loved more than anything in
this world.. This was never ever to happen again.. as she wanted to express
herself.. to say it out loud what was in her heart.. but before she could let
her heart poured out its words, Arnav leaned closer and whispered a few words
into her ears.. She nodded negatively as Arnav slowly pulled back and began
stepping backwards.. His hand slipped away from her fingers tearing her heart
apart...
Precap
“My mother gifted me these stars saying that as
long as these are with me, she’ll be here.. Invisible but by my side always and
forever... It’s yours now! You need your mother more than I do”
